The NSW Government Empowering Homes program is making it easier to have a solar system with a battery installed at your home, helping to stabilise the power grid for everyone and helping home owners to add a system to their house.

Who is eligible for this program?
To take advantage of the Empowering Homes program you must be a home owner occupier, live in one of the eligible postcodes listed below and have a combined household income of less than $180,000 per year. It is not available for off-grid systems, your house must be connected to the power grid.
What if you have an older solar panel only system?
Depending on your system and it’s capabilities, you may save more money each month by removing your old panels and getting a completely new, top-tier system with panels and battery rather than adding a battery to your existing system.
